This cafe offers local produce, including fruit, smallgoods, fish, and exotic meats dishes, such as kangaroo, crocodile and emu burgers. There are many seasonal tropical fruit smoothies to choose from including Abiu, Jakfruit, Durian, Soursop, Star Apple and Black Sapote. Jakfruit burgers (superfood) are also available and can be served vegan.
At Mason’s Cafe, in the Port Douglas region, the team try to source as much as possible locally. They use Misty Mountains milk, Mungalli Yoghurt, Daintree Tea, Tichum Creek Coffee, Local Tablelands meats from 4th generation Marsh Butchers and fish caught off the Daintree Coast (when available). All tropical fruit used is farmed on their property.
Near the Café is an amazing freshwater swimming hole. Entry is only $1, and here you can cool off in a croc-free and stinger-free waterhole full of native fish.
